- 1 List of the best turntables under 200
This is the second best turntable by Audio-Techinca. It’s belt-driven and has a built-in switchable phono preamp.
You can connect it to your speakers with the RCA output and enjoy your records. It can play 2 speeds (33/45) records and has a USB port which lets you connect this turntable to your computer and digitize your records.
You also get Audacity software compatible for both Mac and PC to help you convert your files. It has an anti-resonance die-cast aluminum platter.
The RCA cables are short which might be a problem but once you start playing it, you will feel in love with this record player.
Its looks are great and it will not take up a lot of space in your room. You will not have any problems setting up this turntable.
Since it is belt-driven, it means you cannot use it for scratching and DJing. But I don’t think you would use this great turntable for scratching.
It’s a sweet deal and you should grab it. At this price, no other brand provides turntables with so many great features without compromising the quality. Yes, it has a few cons but it’s not a big deal. Once you buy it, you will love it.
So if you want a turntable for scratching, Stanton T62 is the perfect choice for you. It’s a direct-drive turntable with a straight tone arm that improves tracking for scratching.
It includes a pre-mounted Stanton 300 cartridge on headshell. Can play two speeds (33/45) and it also has 2 start/stop switches for mixing. RCA outputs are also provided to connect this to your speakers.
Audio-Technica AT-LP60 comes with no pitch control while this one comes with pitch control that allows you to change tempo/pitch.
The sound quality is very good. Better than your expectations. If you are starting as a DJ, this turntable is a perfect match for you.
You can get better turntables but it will cost you more than $200. And I don’t recommend you to spend a lot if you’re just starting out.
It’s simple and elegant. Nothing so fancy and it sounds great. This is the best direct-drive turntable under $200.
PL-990 is fully automatic and requires no manual operation. It’s highly sensitive and resistant to resonance which aids in tracking records better.
It comes with a built-in phono equalizer and also includes a moving magnet cartridge with a diamond-stylus. It has a belt-drive design and you will not find any fault in this turntable. Why?
Because it’s a Pioneer product. The great feature is about this record player is that it’s fully automatic so you can just sit back and enjoy your records.
This is a great choice for those who want an automatic turntable that plays their records without any troubles and costs very less.
Operates on a belt-driven system and has two playback speeds (33/45). This turntable also has a fully automatic operation and has a static balance tonearm.
It comes with a USB output so you can connect it to your devices. You can also convert your records to MP3 files.

This is another great Electrohome turntable with so many different features. It can play vinyl records, AM/FM radio, CD player and MP3s through USB.
The authentic wood cabinet with gives this turntable a vintage look. Its looks can attract anyone and will look great in your room.
The sound quality is excellent with no distortion. The only problem you may face with this record player is that there is no output jack for connecting speakers.
The only con of this turntable may stop you from buying this because you may want to connect this to your home stereo. I would recommend you to look for other options mentioned in this list.
